aloe? Anyone need aloe plants?

We have many baby aloe plants, so thought I'd check if anyone wants some. :)

In other news, here's a penguin riding a dolphin (I don't care if it's 'shopped)!

And a baby penguin meeting a baby dolphin.

No, but would *you* like some aloe plants? I've got a bunch! :-P

I like to think about how many "multi-bodied" aloe plants there are in houses and offices around the world. (Plants have odd ideas about identity, so clonal propagation is not much different than simple growth.) Do you suppose it is more like a long-tail distribution, or do just a few plants/clonal families dominate the window-sills of the world?

One day we'll have cheap sequencing tools, and we'll *know*.

Re: Diffusion
... what a fascinating question!

"I am the aloe plant! The only aloe plant! Every aloe plant is me!"

Well, except for the ones which look different. I think there are different colors and varigation and such available. :)

That is a great picture. I'm imagining a story to go with it, about the heroic penguin who comes to the rescue riding on his dolphin...

Yes, exactly! And they could both be involved in the rescue, like in Rescue Rangers!

I didn't know that dolphins could be that little. :)

I might like plants. Was there another sort of plant I was supposed to get from you? I remember discussing lily of the valley, but I don't think it was that. At least not in the middle of February.

Yup! African violets!

Not sure when, though. :)

Do you have a pot and soil for an aloe?
